Wax Removal
Earwax is naturally produced by the ear, secreted by glands in the ear canal. It is designed to help clean and protect the ear and the ear drum. However, in cases where an excess of wax collects in the ear, it can cause discomfort and a reduction in the clarity of your hearing.

This is an extremely common issue and can be treated in a number of ways. At Noble and Reading Hearcare, our most common method of wax removal is by using microsuction - this process uses a small suction tube to gently pull the ear wax out of the ear canal.

We always recommend using olive oil in the ear at least 3 days prior to the appointment. This helps to soften the wax and allows easier removal of any wax that has become impacted. We also carry out otoscopy (inspecting the ear canal) before proceeding with any treatment to ensure there is no infection or other issues creating the blockage.

The cost of this treatment is £60 for one ear or £90 for two - all carried out in the comfort and familiarity of your own home.
